In some games, like Berget in Sweden, a wider 11 cm armband is used.
From this product you can make an armband of a perfect size for any
game, but this is also suitable for making "ID patches" of your faction
color to be attached to gear. A good practice is to attach an ID panel
onto your backside so friendlies won't shoot you in the back when lines
get mixed up. Also good for any DIY projects where colorful Velcro is
required.
Protip 1: If there is abundance in length, cut the extra away and use it to make a player ID number patch to be attached to the armband itself.
Protip 2: Wrap the armband hook-side down to your
arm, so it attaches to the bicep pocket loop Velcro (if your shirt or
jacket has one) and the armband won't roll around.
Protip 3: No need for armband this wide? Cut it into strips of your desired width to make many armbands!
