Open-Top Single Magazine Pouch, Gen. 5

Templar's Gear open magazine pouch for AK-74 and AR15/M4 magazines and other similarly sized magazines. The retention loop has a hard pull tab, which is not only comfortable, but also always feels the same so there is no hassle or guessing whether you are actually pulling from the right place. The stiffened structure makes it easier to insert the magazines in the pouch and provides protection for sensitive things like radios and such.

This model attaches to PALS matrix with flaps manufactured from 1000D Cordura - light, durable and can be fixed in the field!

Features:

• Compatible with AK-74, AR15/M4 and other similarly sized magazines. If the magazine is particularly bulky or equipped with coupling mounts, fitting problems are likely to occur. Finnish RK and AK-47 magazines do not fit in the pouch. The exact dimensions of the pouch are at the end of the list.
• The retention loop's pull tab is comfortably shaped, hard, and has a groove on the bottom for AK magazines, which usually sit in pouches with a sharp angle upwards. The length of the elastic cord can be adjusted and, in addition, there are a total of 5 holes on the side facing the body, through which the elastic cord can be routed. With the help of these holes, the position and angle of the retention loop in relation to the magazine can be adjusted quite comprehensively.
• 2 x 2.5 PALS/MOLLE matrix on the outside. For example, you can attach another one on the surface!
• Bottom sides of the pouch are left a little open, which means that water can drain out, but the pouch does not collect muck inside.
• The front and bottom are stiffened, the sides traditionally soft.
• Inside measurements are 75 x 135 x 20 mm. When installed, the width is 80 mm and the length is 145 mm. The magazine placed inside naturally affects the dimensions a little. Despite the stiffening, the pocket adapts to the dimensions of the magazine.
• Pouch takes up 2 x 3 space from a PALS matrix, but attaches securely with fewer rows when needed to.
• Main fabric is 500 denier Foxdura (M05) or Cordura (other colours).
• Weighs 51 g (M05) or 52 g (other colours)

Materials & manufacturing

The Templar’s Gear M05 products are manufactured from the Finnish Foxa 500 denier Foxdura fabric by using laser cut technology, which enabled us to reduce the weight of the gear without compromising reliability. The material meets the Finnish Defence Forces' requirements for IRR protection and the other materials are also IRR treated. This means that the products can be safely used even in situations where you need to be hidden in the IR spectrum!

The laser cut PALS webbings are also extremely durable, because they don’t have stitches which are prone to wear and tear. Special attention has been paid to quality control in Templar’s pouches and gear, because a significant portion of the company’s customers are officials, whose safety and well-being might depend on the gear.

Conscription in Finnish military

Well, since someone’s going to ask anyway, let’s answer: we do not know if this gear can be used when you are in general conscription. If you want to be polite, you can ask your officer, if it’s okay to use your own gear. However, it’s usually easier to apologize later than to get permission. If necessary, we recommend you demonstrate the features of the gear, for example in the IR spectrum, where you can clearly prove that this gear has been made for military use and is not some Chinese knock-off.

Extended three-year warranty

Templar’s Gear products are granted a three-year warranty. In more concrete manner this means for example products sold on this spring will have warranty for three action packed seasons of airsoft, shooting or whatever you do with them.

Warranty covers all problems that should arise from defective materials or poor craftsmanship. Carelessness or misuse voids the warranty.

It’s been a long time coming – the M05

Tradesoft is proud to present the fruits of co-operation with Templar’s Gear: tactical combat gear with the Finnish M05 camouflage! The aim of this co-operation is to fill a torso-sized hole in the Finnish gear market: before this, it was not possible to have a full combat gear set available with the domestic M05 pattern.

We had contemplated on acquiring M05 combat gear before, but had not found a suitable manufacturer before Templar’s Gear. The actual idea of this project was born in the fall of 2017 when the first Templar’s Gear products landed at our headquarters. After finding a suitable friend and partner in Poland, it was obvious that we had to present this gift to the airsoft/reserve forces/military/defence forces/SRA shooting communities and everyone interested in the Finnish camouflage pattern.
