SHS is a Hong Kong/China based airsoft manufacturer which makes upgrade parts designed especially for electric airsoft guns (AEGs). The product range is constantly growing and improved generations of the older products of SHS are also released based on the feedback received from airsoft players.
SHS is acknowledged as one of the best in the airsoft industry when talking about upgrade parts. The SHS gears, pistons and motors, among others, are used also by more experienced airsoft mechanics. Furthermore, the unbeatable quality-price ratio of the upgrade parts is absolutely at the top end of the airsoft industry, which works as a clear competitive advantage for SHS.
SHS upgrade spring’s power is, according to our observations, higher than the M-value reported by the manufacturer, which should be taken into consideration when choosing a spring. With M110 spring and a tight build we have gotten measurements up to 1.5 – 1.6 joule.
What is the M value in Springs?
The M value is an easily understandable classification principle for spring powers and it was originally introduced by Systema. A spring with a power classification of M100 gives, with a Marui electric gun with stock parts and a 300 mm long barrel, about 100 m/s (1.0 joules), M110 110 m/s (1.2 joules) and so on. In reality, there are some differences between different manufacturers. Many other things, like the airtightness of your gun and the inner diameter of the inner barrel, also affect the muzzle velocity, which causes the M value to not be absolutely true.
