The Quick Detach rail mount is a handy accessory that can be installed to a Picatinny or Weaver rail, if you wish to attach the sling to a particular point of a weapon with a rail. On the other hand, all weapons do not have a sling mount, in which case you add the usability of your weapon substantially with a separate QD mount. The sling mount ring is also a rotating model (swivel mount), so it follows the movements of your weapon.
In addition, the QD mount may be removed quickly if necessary, by pressing a button in the middle, releasing the sling mount ring and its foot from the platform. This allows you to quickly switch the position of the QD mount without any tools! Sling mount ring and screw are made of steel.
