RetroArms is a Czech airsoft company which manufactures high-quality upgrade and spare parts. The company has become known from its CNC machined parts, especially its super durable gearboxes which are made from 7075 aluminum. RetroArms gives its gearboxes a lifelong guarantee against breaking which tells us a lot about the quality of the parts!

RetroArms gearboxes are manufactured of one CNC-machined EN AW 7075 T651 aluminum piece, which is why they last forever even under high stress, unlike casted gearboxes. The advantage of a gearbox machined from one piece is the accuracy of the procedure. You no longer have to suffer any shimming or compatibility problems caused by imprecise measurements! These gearboxes are of the newest batch, which have been improved to be better compatible with different manufacturers' parts in accordance to user reviews.

The focus of gearbox design has been in durability and usability:

• QSC – the quick change spring and spring guide with bearings makes the opening and assembling of the gearbox easier
• Radiusing – the front corners have been rounded, so that the stress directed to the front is reduced
• Deeper grooves to put the wires in – the motor or the gears will no longer scratch through the insulation
• Exact measurements and roughened pegs – anti-reversal latch, trigger and small springs won’t jump out of place as easily

The two-part, so-called Split gearbox is designed for easier maintenance. To change the piston, you don’t need to open the lower part and the shimming won’t get mixed even by accident! In addition, when attached to the Lonex M4 receiver, where the buffer tube does not attach with a screw to the spring guide, changing the spring can easily be done in the field!
