Contrary to the pictures, this model already has a bit of a taste of custom, because the gun already has installed::
And that's not all, because the original part's also come with the package, now I think the price per kilo is right!
In the movie 9th Company, a character called “Gioconda” spoke about guns and war and said something along the lines of: “Michelangelo was asked, how he makes such beautiful statues out of marble. He answered: 'Easily, I just carve away all the extra.' Guns are beautiful in the same way: they don’t have anything extra in them, just a brutal purpose.” In the movie Gioconda’s friends don’t understand his metaphor, but we do. The lack of excess is beautiful and it’s exactly what LCT AKs offer.
The LCT AK series guns are so full of steel they’re almost stalinist. The plastic parts have been manufactured out of sturdy fiber-reinforced polymer and the wooden parts are real wood. Almost makes you want to sing the Soviet Anthem and watch the Victory Day parade. But, enough jokes and dangerous ideologies: The LCT AKs have been equipped with excellent outer parts, and the internals are not half bad either. The bearings are massive 9 mm in diameter and the cylinder and piston heads have been CNC manufactured, the cylinder is chromed and the spring guide has bearings.
Permission to enjoy, comrade!
We have tested that the LCT AKs work with the following magazines:
Unfortunately, you must take this with a grain of salt: sometimes manufacturers change the dimensions of magazines (or guns) , so it is hypothetically possible, that some older magazines won’t feed properly.
The LCT RPK-74M is, like its role model, equipped with a side rail mount, bipod, heavier and longer barrel as well as a bigger stock for better, steadier shooting. The battery goes under the receiver cover.
LCT started its earthly journey at the beginning of the 1980’s, on the same year Conan the Barbarian came to theaters. LCT started its career as a molding and metalworking company. This tradition can still be seen in the company’s products: the receivers are almost always made of steel, and they beautifully finished to perfection. LCT was also the manufacturer that made the externals for the legendary Inokatsu AK series! LCT guns are so robust that you have no need for a crowbar at home after getting one of these replicas. The company’s modus operandi is to make very high quality and very realistic airsoft guns. And they seem to be doing an excellent job!
The RPK light machine gun was designed by Mihail Kalashnikov. It was born as a parallel project at the same time as AKM. The RPK was designed to replace its predecessor, the RPD, that also shoots 7.62×39 mm cartridges. Actually, the RPK is sort of between the belt-fed machine gun PK (and its modernized version PKM) and AK.
Another gun shooting 5.45×39 mm cartridges was also developed from the RPK, the RPK-74. This model was introduced at the same time as the AK-74. A new model with a new cartridge was required so that the rifle company wouldn’t need so many different kinds of cartridges. The development of the RPK has been continued all the way to the 21st century. RPK-74M is equipped with a folding stock, black polymer parts and a side rail for scopes.
Battery and charger are not included with this gun. To make sure the warranty of your gun is valid, you may use 7.4V LiPo/Li-Ion or 8.4V and 9.6V NiCd/NiMH batteries with a maximum capacity of 3100mAh. Using a battery with a higher nominal voltage or capacity voids the warranty.
Are you not sure which battery fits in your gun? Check the nickel battery compatibility table in Tradetech.
The functionality of all our guns is tested and the muzzle velocity measured before shipping. The velocity is measured with a 0.20 g BB and the final muzzle velocity is calculated from the average of five (5) shots. In fact, the muzzle velocities you see in our online shop are approximations reported by the supplier or manufacturer. Thus, the actual muzzle velocity of your gun may differ from the approximation upwards or downwards. However, we always mark the final muzzle velocity on the maintenance and user manual provided with the gun.
