Combat shirt:
The combat shirt is sometimes also referred to with the acronym UBACS (Under Body Armour Combat Shirt). The shirt is designed for warm temperatures and to be worn for example underneath combat vest or tactical vest plate carrier. The torso is made from a thin, usually very breathable and stretchy material. No pockets or any other extra stuff has been added to the torso, because it would just be covered by the vest, and might be uncomfortable against the fighter’s body. The fabric of the sleeves is generally of the same material that the manufacturer uses in their own military uniforms. The cut of the sleeves and collar is similar to the ACU cut: Pockets on the arms, cuffs tightened with Velcro, and a hight collar resembling a mandarin collar.
Thanks to its light weight and breathability, this technical combat shirt is ideal for warm temperatures, also without a vest. The sleeves are often designed to be wide, which together with the stretchy torso also allows for better mobility compared to normal combat shirts and military jackets! The Invader Gear Combat Shirt does not come with hard plastic elbow pads, but with elbow pad pockets, see e.g. Helikon pads!
Material:
The fabric of the torso is 80% cotton and 20% polyester – very nice and breathable fabric in the summer heat! The sleeves are made of durable ripstop fabric, 65% cotton and 35% polyester.
Combat shirts are great, because you don’t have to worry about pulling in your stomach and chest, because the material of the torso section stretches several centimeters. When choosing your size, you should first measure the distance between the neck and wrist when your arm is extended to the side, and after that check that the length is sufficient from the back. In the back make sure that the length of the hem that is tucked in to the pants collar is long enough, because combat acrobatics and gear tend to pull your shirt up.
