The lower face mask with metal wire mesh is a good choice, especially for players favouring glasses. Breathing is not harder thanks to the mesh, and the braided metal mesh can easily take gun shots from close range.
Since there are many shapes of human faces, the lower face protection does not fit everyone as such. However, the mesh is easy to bend, and it can be fitted with additional padding to make it suitable for the wearer and to improve the fit. The edge of the fabric is glued to the mesh so it can also be removed for cutting!
The face shield is manufactured by Emerson, but it can be delivered either in Emerson packaging, or rebranded in Nuprol packaging.
