Bollé Combat Safety Glasses with Strap, Three Lenses

These Bollé ballistic Combat safety glasses have been designed with an eye on soldiers and demanding use. Thanks to their advanced design and adjustable nose piece, they fit many different-sized faces!

Thanks to the renewed an adjustable nose piece, the glass basically fit everyone. A good way to adjust the parts to the right shape is to bend them close to each other and put the glasses on the face, when they bend into the right shape. The parts should be given a moment to shape and “set” into place. Bolle’s own ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) lens coating filters 57% of blue light (clear 10%). This improves the contrast and resolution, as well as prevents harm caused by blue light.

Standards and safety ratings

The glasses comply with the following standards:

• EN166 (lens markings: 1 BT KN CE)
• EN170 and EN172 (2-1.2 and 2C-1.2, UV-protection)
• ANSI Z87.1-2010 (the American “civil standard”, which is similar to EN166)
• STANAG 4296 (v50 test value 228-238 m/s)

The STANAG 4296 is NATO’s eye protection standard, which includes, in addition to ballistic safety standard 2920, for example the following requirements: The safety glass must resist a hit of at least 7.51 joules according to circumstances defined by the STANAG 2920. The safety glasses also have to be as light as possible, comfortable and compatible with other protective equipment, and scratching, as well as fogging must be minimal or nonexistent (with the help of good ventilation or coating).

All three lenses are coated with Bollé long-lasting (if not eternal) platinum to prevent scratching and fogging. The glasses also offer UVA and UVB protection.
