The gearbox is manufactured of very durable and carefully tested metal alloy. The front of the gearbox has been reinforced by adding material, so that it could withstand springs with greater power. This reduces the possibility that the front of the gearbox shell cracks, which is a problem particularly in Version 2 gearboxes. Thanks to the reinforcement the gearbox is not compatible with other manufacturer’s tappet plates without modifying the front of the tappet plate.
Many upgraders have found that the quality-price ratio for Lonex gearboxes is one of the best and thus it has been used e.g. in many over 2 J guns and super straining DSG builds. In addition, Lonex' exact measurements and good quality control ensure that especially the manufacturer’s own parts fit together very well. For example, the cut-off lever and the trigger won’t jump out of their places so easily, which makes tinkering with the gearbox much more effortless.
In any case, we recommend that you make the reinforcements to the gearbox and install a sorbothane pad to the cylinder head. Radiusing of the gearbox divides impact force more evenly to the whole front area and the sorbothane absorbs the shock, which practically makes the gearbox last forever.
The gearbox comes with a reinforced tappet plate, steel 8 mm ball bearings, selector plate and screws.
